SUBJECT: South Pointe Park Pier Gate Repairs
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that the South Pointe Park Pier
Gate, an Art in Public Places piece by the artist, Tobias Rehberger located at the
entrance of the pier, will be undergoing repair due to damages caused by an act of
vandalism. Work to the gate will include: removal of the gate, reinforcing welds on the
bars, painting of the gate, and reinstallation of the repaired gate. For safety purposes,
the contractor will be installing temporary gates to fit the existing hinges. The project is
expected to commence on Monday, June 6th, and be completed by Thursday, June 23rd
weather permitting.
