SUBJECT: Flamingo Park Soccer Field —Ope ng Event
In partnership with the Parks and Recreation Department, the Office of Capital Improvement
Projects is excited to announce the opening of the newly renovated Flamingo Park Soccer Field.
Recent renovations are complete, and we hope you can join us to celebrate the opening at the
soccer field on Tuesday, June 7 at 4:30 p.m.
The scope of work for this project included replacement of the soccer field with organic infill
synthetic turf, landscaping, sod restoration around the field, and installation of new sports lights.
In addition, the project installed a drainage system underneath the field that includes two
drainage wells. The new field, designed to accommodate US Youth Soccer League standards,
will be used for practice time and regular play by soccer players in all age groups.
