SUBJECT: Playground Renovations at Beach View Park
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that the Parks and Recreation
Department will be temporarily closing the playground at Beach View Park to remove the
existing playground structure and artificial surface and replace it with a new structure
and pour-in-place surfacing. Residents will be able to use nearby playground facilities at
Fisher Park (50th street and Alton Road), La Gorce Park (6421 Alton Road), Crespi Park
(7801 Crespi Boulevard), Tatum Park (8050 Byron Avenue), Stillwater Park (8440
Hawthorne Avenue) and North Shore Open Space Park (7gth — 86th streets and Collins
Avenue)
The project is expected to commence on Wednesday, June 15th, and will take 1 month
to complete, weather permitting.
