SUBJECT: PLAYGROUND RENOVATIONS AT LUMMUS PARK
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that the Parks and Recreation
Department will be temporarily closing the playground at Lummus Park, to remove the
existing playground structure and safety surface, and replacing it with a new structure
and pour-in-place surfacing. Residents will be able to use nearby playground facilities at
Flamingo Park (999 11 Street), Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Avenue) and
South Pointe Park (1 Washington Avenue) until the renovations are complete.
The project is expected to commence on Monday, October 10`h, and will take one month
to complete, weather permitting.
