A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2015-29219,WHICH .
SET THE DATES FOR THE YEAR 2016 CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS, BY
AUTHORIZING THE RESCHEDULING OF THE DECEMBER 7, 2016 REGULAR
CITY COMMISSION MEETING TO DECEMBER 14, 2016 AT 8:30 A.M.;
RESCHEDULING THE DECEMBER 14, 2016 PRESENTATIONS & AWARDS
COMMISSION MEETING FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 8:30 A.M. SO THAT IT MAY BE
HELD IN CONJUCTION WITH THE REGULAR CITY COMMISSION MEETING
TO BE HELD AT 8:30 A.M. ON DECEMBER 14, 2016; AND, FURTHER,
AUTHORIZING THE CHANGE OF THE START TIME OF THE OCTOBER 26,2016
PRESENTATIONS & AWARDS COMMISSION MEETING FROM 5:00 P.M. TO
4:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.04 of the Miami Beach City Charter,the City Commission
shall meet at such times as may be prescribed by ordinance or resolution; and
WHEREAS, on November 19, 2014, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2015-
29219, setting the dates for the 2016 Commission meetings; and
WHEREAS, on October 19, 2016, Commissioner Ricky Arriola requested rescheduling the
December 7, 2016 regular City Commission meeting to December 14, 2016; and
WHEREAS,due to the scheduling of a regular Commission meeting on December 14,2016
at 8:30 a.m.,the Presentations&Awards Commission meeting,currently scheduled for 5:00 p.m.on
December 14, 2016, should be rescheduled and held in conjunction with the regular City
Commission meeting to be held at 8:30 a.m. on December 14, 2016; and
WHEREAS, on October 19, 2016, Commissioner Micky Steinberg requested that the start
time of the October 26, 2016 Presentations&Awards/Commission meeting be changed from 5:00
p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,that the December 7, 2016 regular City Commission
meeting is hereby rescheduled to Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.;the Presentations
&Awards Commission meeting scheduled for 5:00 p.m.on December 14,2016 is rescheduled to be
held in conjunction with the regular City Commission meeting to be held at 8:30 a.m. on December
14, 2016; and,the start time of the October 26, 2016 Presentations&Awards Commission meeting
is changed from 5:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (See Exhibit "A").
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19 day of October, 2016.
