SUBJECT: Youth Commission Motions
The Youth Commission would like you to be aware of the following motions requesting support for a
youth art exhibit during Art Basel 2016 and cooking event for college bound youth during the 2017
South Beach Food and Wine Festival, approved at the November 1, 2016 commission meeting.

Motion Text:
The Youth Commission requests the Miami Beach Mayor and Commission support a youth art
exhibit at a City of Miami Beach public school within Miami-Dade County Public Schools during
Art Basel 2016 and have it promoted by the City of Miami Beach.
The Youth Commission urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request.

The Youth Commission requests the Miami Beach Mayor and Commission support the inclusion of
programming within the 2017 South Beach Food and Wine Festival aimed towards teaching Miami
Beach youth heading off to college how to cook on a budget.
The Youth Commission urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request.
