SUBJECT: FLAMINGO FOOTBALL FIELD REPAIRS
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that the Parks and Recreation
Department will be temporarily closing the football field at Flamingo Park (999 11th
Street) for remediation of the field turf. The four outermost lanes of the track will remain
open for the duration of these repairs. Travel soccer practices will be moved to the
baseball stadium at Flamingo Park during the closure, and the location of travel soccer
games are TBA. NFL Flag Football programming will be relocated to the baseball and
soccer fields at Flamingo Park during the closure.
The project is expected to commence on Sunday, November 27th, and will take 2 weeks
to complete, weather permitting.
