A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2016-29642,
SETTING THE DATES FOR THE YEAR 2017 CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS,
BY AUTHORIZING THE RESCHEDULING OF THE APRIL 5, 2017 REGULAR
CITY COMMISSION MEETING TO APRIL 26, 2017 AT 8:30 A.M.;
RESCHEDULING THE APRIL 26, 2017 PRESENTATIONS & AWARDS
COMMISSION MEETING FROM 5:00 P.M.TO 8:30 A.M. SO THAT IT MAY BE
HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE REGULAR CITY COMMISSION MEETING
TO BE HELD AT 8:30 A.M. ON APRIL 26, 2017; AND, FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE RESCHEDULING OF THE MAY 10,2016 REGULAR CITY
COMMISSION MEETING AND THE MAY 24, 2016 PRESENTATIONS &
AWARDS COMMISSION MEETING TO BE HELD IN CONJUNCTION ON MAY
17, 2016 AT 8:30 A.M.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.04 of the Miami Beach City Charter,the City Commission
shall meet at such times as may be prescribed by ordinance or resolution; and
WHEREAS, on November 9, 2016, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2016-
29642, setting the dates for the 2017 Commission meetings; and
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2016, Commissioner Kristen Rosen Gonzalez requested
rescheduling the April 5, 2017 regular City Commission meeting due to the Miami-Dade County
Days event taking place on April 5 - 6, 2017 in Tallahassee, Florida; and
WHEREAS, due to Miami-Dade County Days the April 5, 2017 regular City Commission
meeting is rescheduled to April 26, 2017 to be held in conjunction with the Presentations&Awards
Commission meeting on April 26, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the May 10, 2017 regular Commission meeting and the May 24, 2017
Presentations&Awards Commission meeting are rescheduled to be held in conjunction on May 17,
2017 at 8:30 a.m.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the April 5, 2017 regular City Commission
meeting be rescheduled to April 26, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; rescheduling the April 26, 2017
Presentations&Awards Commission Meeting from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. so that it may be held in
conjunction with the regular City Commission meeting to be held at 8:30 a.m. on April 26, 2017;
and, further authorizing the rescheduling the May 10, 2016 regular City Commission meeting and
the May 24, 2016 Presentations &Awards Commission meeting to be held in conjunction on May
17, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. (See Exhibit "A").
PASSED and ADOPTED this 14 day of December 2016.
