City Atty. advised Council was on firm ground
to hold hearing; that the injunction imposed by
Judge Satin had been lifted. Attys. for muni-
ciplaities of North Bay Village, Bal Harbour
and Bay Harbor advised that they were appearing
under protest. City's expert witness appeared
and after review of operation and cost figures,
advised Council to continue the hearing until
latest compilations have been made so that he
could submit recommendation. Hearing continued
to Sept. 1, 1976 at 3:00 p.m.

correspondence received by him relative to
supply of water to Bal Harbour, and cautioned
against any action by Admin. in this respect
without his knowledge and direction.
Mr. Paul School, Councilman of No. Bay Village, 8/4/76
appeared and advised he was also appearing on
behalf of cities of Bal Harbour and Bay Harbor,
Island, to request Council to arrange meeting
for them and their expert witnesses with City's
administration and experts, to discuss settle-
ment negotiations of pending water rate liti-
gation. Council took no action in view of pend-
ing litigation and absence of City Atty.
