Deferred to 2/19/75, at 11:15 a.m. City Atty. to render opinion as to whether City may condemn easement on Fisher Island and whether platted streets may be used for instal- lation of sewer lines. 2/5/75 Councilman Dr. Haber requested that, in the 2 wk. interim period, EPA be contacted and advised that some members of Council are very much in opposition to this route and that they be given the reasons for the opposition, SEWAGE DISPOSAL AND TREATMENT (cont'd) including the sentiment against the enrichment of private interests through the use of public monies, and that efforts be made to obtain approval of an alternate route. Councilman Dr. Wikler requested that the Council be furnished with copies of all past and future Consultants' correspondence with EPA, prior to the 2/19/75 meeting. Mr. Joseph Abelow appeared, and pursuant to his request, Council adopted Res. #75-14611, amending the City's application to EPA so as to delete request of $1,000 grant funds.
