SUBJECT: St. Florian Celebration Mass
This letter to the Mayor and City Commission is to extend an invitation to the St. Florian
celebration mass that will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in St.
Patrick's Church and a reception to follow at 1:00 p.m. in Barry Hall (3716 Garden
Avenue) where light refreshments will be served.
The Fire Department in conjunction with the St. Patrick's Church will be hosting a
celebration mass on St. Florian day. St. Florian is generally regarded in most countries
as the patron saint of the fire service. Please join the Miami Beach Fire Department and
members of fire departments from sister cities as they pay tribute to St. Florian.
