This Letter to Commission is to invite you to attend the Miami Beach Police Memorial Ceremony
on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The ceremony will be at the monument in front of the
Miami Beach Police Station.
The Memorial Ceremony is the one day each year where we formally honor those Miami Beach
Police Officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.
That same evening you are also invited to attend the Miami -Dade Police Memorial Ceremony.
This ceremony honors fallen heroes from throughout Miami -Dade County, and will be attended
by Chief Oates, the MBPD Command Staff, as well as members of the MBPD and other law
enforcement agencies. The event takes place at the Police Memorial located at Tropical Park
(7900 SW 40th Street) at 7:00 PM.
