Event: Roland-Garros Trophies
Date: Thursday, April 20th
Time: 4:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m.
Location: Flamingo Park Tennis Center
The Rendez-vous a Roland-Garros is coming to Flamingo! Please join us for the unique
opportunity to pose with the iconic Rolland-Garros Trophies for photos at the Flamingo Park
Tennis Center. All attendees will have a chance to win Roland Garros branded giveaways.
Event: 2017 Biscayne Tennis Junior Championships (Level 6)
Date: Saturday, April 29th, 2017 to Monday, May 1st, 2017
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Flamingo Park Tennis Center
The Flamingo Park Tennis Center will be hosting the 2017 Biscayne Tennis Junior
Championships (Level 6) April 29th — May 1st. Tournament features Level 6 boys and girls,
singles players 12-14 years old (yellow ball), as well as Green Level 1 boys and girls 10 and
under (green ball). Entry to tournament is open to all USTA members, entries close on Monday,
April 24th, 2017.
Event: Summer Camp Registration Opens to Non -Residents
Date: Monday, May 1st
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Accounts must be current to register. All registrations and payments will be handled through
Capturepoint, our online registration and payment system. For more information, please visit
miamibeachfl.gov/parksandrecreation.
Event: Spring Fiesta
Date: Friday, May 5th
Time: 6:30 p.m. — 9:30 p.m.
Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Ave)
Join us for the annual parent & child dance. $10 covers the cost of admission for a parent &
child; admission for each additional child is $5. Each child must be accompanied by their
parent/guardian and formal attire is required. Tickets may be purchased at Flamingo Park, Scott
Rakow Youth Center or North Shore Park Youth Center, from April 3rd through April 28th.

Event: UNIDAD's Senior Mother's Day Party
Date: Thursday, May 11th
Time: 12:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Location: UNIDAD Senior Center (7251 Collins Avenue)
UNIDAD invites all Senior Program participants to an afternoon of complimentary food and
refreshments to celebrate mothers. No registration is required.
Event: Play Time Graduation
Date: Friday, May 19th
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Locations: Colony Theatre (1040 Lincoln Road)
Family and friends are welcome to join us as we celebrate Play Time Program's Class of 2017
graduates. You'll enjoy a lovely ceremony presentation by our Play Time students and teachers.

Event: City of Miami Beach Senior Luau Party
Date: Wednesday, May 24th
Time: 6:00 p.m. — 8:30 p.m.
Location: Jungle Island Tree Top Ballroom (1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, FL 33132)
Join Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department for our Senior Luau Party and enjoy an
evening of complimentary refreshments, food and fun.
Event: Teen Club Presents: IMpossible
Date: Friday, May 26th and Saturday, May 27th
Time: 8:00 p.m.
Location: Nautilus Middle School Auditorium (4301 N Michigan Ave)
The City of Miami Beach Teen Club proudly presents their newest theatrical performance
IMpossible, an interactive play that gives audience members the opportunity to participate in
different scenes throughout the show. Admission is $5.
Event: Special Population's Annual Banquet
Date: Saturday, May 27th
Time: 1:30 p.m. — 3:30 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park Youth Center (501 72nd St)
All participants of the Special Population program for adults with developmental disabilities are
invited to participate in a fun afternoon of complimentary food and refreshments.

The Parks and Recreation Department is extending a special invitation to families who want to
meet their child's summer camp counselor before the first day of camp. Parents are encouraged
to take this opportunity to meet one-on-one with staff and tour the facility. See attached flyer for
more details.
