BE IT ORDAI 4ED by the City- Council of the City of Miami -beach, Florida.:
Section 1. That every building or structure within the City of ILiami
Beach, Plori.dF3 , located within one hundred fifty feet of a sewer pipe
or drain shall be connected with such sewer pipe or drain, which connect-
ion shall be by a. pipe not less than four inches in diameter, extending
from such building or structure to the street line and by pipe not less
than six inches in diameter, leading fvom the street line to the sewer
in the street; provided however, that when tato or more building are
owned by the same person or persons within a space of one hundred feet
fro nt� ge on any street , such person or persons may connect with such
sewer pipe by or through on pipe line of the din-tensions above mentioned,
Section 2. It is hereby made the duty of any person or persons living
within a building or structure within one hundred fifty feet of a sewer
ripe line to make connection therewith as hereinbefore provided for, and
where such. sewer pipe exists within the distance as aforesaid., such
connection shell be made notwithstanding a connection with a septic tank
shall then be in existence.
Section 3. it shall be the duty of the plumbing inspector of said Oity
to notify every person or persons occupying a building or structure
located within one hundred fifty feet of a sewer pipe, to connect the
plumbing of such building with such sewer pipe by giving a notice that
such connection is required.
Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the pro-
visions of this Ordinance or who shall, upon notice, fail to comply
�vith the provisions of. this Ordinance within ten days shall, upon con-
viction, be fined not more than Two hundred Dollars or be ir.pxisoned.

person shall_ violate any provision of this Ordinance or fail to
comply with any of the provisions hereof , shall be deemed. a second
and distinct offence.
Section 5, All Orcinances in conflict herewith are hereby reypealec
and. this Ordinance shall become effective ir_jed4 ate-ly.
