An ORDINANCE of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, re-
quiring all persons to procure building permits before eon-s-
tructing any building in said City and prescribing a penalty
, for building any building in said City without first having
procured a permit.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Miami Beech, Florida:
Section 1: No person, firm or corporation shall cong-
tru;t any kind of a building within said City unless he shall
have first procured from the City Clerk of said City, a building
permit issued upon application as provided in this Ordinance.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation desiring to
contruct any building within the city limits of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida , shall first make application to the City
Clerk. - stating in said application the description of the land
d.n which said building is to be constructed, whether the building

to be constructed is a frame, concrete, concrete block^or
brick building, the numbers of stories thereof and the purpose
for which said proposed building is to be used, which application
shall be signed by the Owner thereof or his duly authorized
agent.
Section 3: It shall be the duty of the City Clerk of said
City, upon application, as hereinbefore provided, to issue to
any person a building permit, licensing him to build the chara-
cter of building at the location and for the purpose set forth in
said application, for the issuance of which such applicant shall
first pay said City Clem a fee of .
Section 4: Any person, firm or corporation who shall con-
struct or build any building without having first made application
and procured a license, as is hereinbefore provided, shall upon
conviction be fined not more than 1100 or be imprisoned more than
60 days or both such fine and imprisonment.

Section 5; All Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby rapealed and this Ordinance shall take effect immed.
