Ordinance 1456 ORDINANCE NO. 1456 _
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
1950", BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO,
MAKING IT AN OFFENSE TO GIVE FALSE OR
MISLEADING STATEMENT TO THE POLICE DEPART-
MENT OF THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 22 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950, " be and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new Section thereto immediately following
Section 22.47 and to be numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 22.47.1.
It shall be unlawful for any person to make to,
or file with, the Police Department of the City
any false, misleading or unfounded statement
concerning the commission or alleged commission
of any crime occurring within the City. "
SECTION 2: That all ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passing and posting as required by law.

5th da-V of September, 1962, and that said Ordinance
remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements or the City Charter of the
said City of Miami Beach.
