Ordinance 1457 ORDINANCE NO. 1457
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
195011, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO
MAKING IT AN OFFENSE TO MAKE OR GIVE A
FALSE ALARM OF FIRE, OR FALSE CALL FOR
POLICE OR AMBULANCE ASSISTANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 22 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950, " be and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new Section thereto immediately following
Section 22.13 .3 and to be numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 22.13 . 4.
It shall be unlawful for any person to
intentionally make, turn in, or give a
false alarm of fire or of need for police
or ambulance assistance, or aid or abet
in the commission of such act. "
SECTION 2: That all ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : That this ordinance shall_ go into effect immediately
upon its passing and posting as required by law.

remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
