AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL CLASS-
IFICATIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED
SERVICE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR, PURSUANT
TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH. "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Sub-Section 18 of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 789
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"18. GOLF COURSE OPERATIONS
Compensation
Minimum Maximum
.01 Locker Room Attendant 182.00 262.00 mo.
.02 Golf Course Ranger 235 .00 336.00 mo.
.03 Golf Steward I 283 .00 405 .00 mo.
.04 Greenskeeper I 314.00 449.00 mo.
.05 Golf Steward II 321.00 458.00 mo.
.06 Greenskeeper II 348.00 497.00 mo. "
Provided, however, for those Locker Room Attendants who, on the
30th day of September, 1961, were receiving wages in excess of
$254.00 per month in accordance with Section 1 of this ordinance,
the maximum shall be that amount so received, plus 3/ thereof.
SECTION 2: That Sub-Section 19 of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 789
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"19. PARK MAINTENANCE

Minimum Maximum
.01 Gardener 1. 28 1.84 hr.
.02 Park Foreman I 1. 28 1.84 hr.
.03 Tree Crane Driver 1.48 2.12 hr.
.04 Park Foreman II 1.45 2.12 hr.
.05 Tree Maintenance Foreman 1. 28 1.84 hr.
.06 Nurseryman 1.38 2.12 hr.
.07 Horticulturist 433 .00 541.00 mo.
.08 Assistant Park Superintendent 464.00 567 .00 mo. "
SECTION 3 : That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in
three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 17th day of October A,D. 19 62 , and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City
Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
