THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. gy BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 678 be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1: That a schedule of rates of salaries for the Administrative
Officers of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the
same is hereby established as follows:
A. City Engineer Salary per month $1, 050.00
B. City Clerk Salary per month 1,136.00
C. Shop & Water Superintendent Salary per month 1, 051.00
D. Police Chief Salary per month 1, 099.00
E. Fire Chief Salary per month 835.00
F. Tax Assessor Salary per month 864.00
G. Chief Building Inspector Salary per month 835.00
H. Superintendent of Recreation Salary per month 887.00
I. Lifeguard Chief Salary per month 738.00
J. Municipal Judge Salary per month 671.00
Provided, however, that in the
event that it shall be determined
by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach that the duties and
responsibilities of the Office of
Municipal Judge require the per-
formance thereof on a full time
basis, and to the exclusion of the
privilege to engage in the private
practice of law, then in such event,
the monthly salary of said office
shall be 896.00
K. Associate Municipal Judge Salary per month 401.00
L. Golf Course Manager
(Bayshore, Normandy Shores, and
Par 3 Golf Courses) Salary per month 664.00
Assistant Golf Course Manager
(Bayshore, Normandy Shores, and
Par 3 Golf Courses) Salary per month 538.00
M. City Manager Salary per month 1,944.00
N. City Attorney Salary per month 1, 311.00
(a) Together with a monthly allowance to
the City Attorney for secretarial
assistance in the sum of 728.00
(b) Together with a monthly allowance to
City Attorney for two full time and
two part time Assistant City Attorneys
in the sum of 2, 587.00

SECTION 2 : That all ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby repealed..
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall go into effect as of October 1, 1963.

City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in
three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 2nd day of January, AtD. 19 64 , and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City
Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
