Ordinance 1516 ORDINANCE NO. 1516
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF
"THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, 1950".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 8 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950", be and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new Section thereto immediately following
Section 8.8.2, to be numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 8.8.3 . It shall be unlawful for
any person to paste, glue, print, paint or
to affix or attach by any means whatsoever
to the surface of any public street, side-
walk, way or curb, or to any property of
any governmental body or public utility,
any political sign, poster, placard or auto-
mobile bumper strip, designed or intended
to advocate or oppose the nomination or
election of any candidate, or the adoption
or rejection of any political measure. "
SECTION 2: All ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : This ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 18th day of June AID. 19 64 , and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City
Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
