AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3$.11 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
1950".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, as follows:
SECTION 1: That that portion of Section 38.11 of "The Code of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, 1950", reading as
follows:
"(b) A five per cent discount shall be
deducted from all water and fire
line rental bills if paid within
ten days from the date of the bill
and from all water and fire line
rental bills rendered to the Army
or to any federal agency, if paid
within forty-five days from date
of bill. Water service shall be
discontinued without further notice
on all accounts not paid within
ten days from the date of the bill,
except service on accounts with the
Army or any federal agency, which
shall be discontinued without
further notice if not paid within
forty-five days from date of bill . "
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) All water and fire line rental bills,
except those rendered to the Army or
to any Federal agency, shall be paid
within ten days from the date of the
bill. Bills rendered to the Army or
any Federal agency shall be paid
within forty-five days from date of
bill. A five percent penalty shall
be added to all water and fire line
rental bills, except those rendered
to the Army or any Federal agency,
If not paid within ten days from the
date of the bill. A five percent

rendered to the Army or any Federal
agency if not paid within forty-five
days from the date of the bill.
Water service shall be discontinued

SECTION 2: All ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed .
SECTION 3: The welfare of the City being imperiled, the three read-
ings of this ordinance shall be had in one session, and
the City Council finding that this ordinance is necessary for the
immediate protection of its citizens , it shall therefore go into
effect immediately upon its passage .

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in
three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 18thday of September, A.D. 19 64 , and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City
Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this the 4th day of November , 19 64.
