ORDINANCE NO. 153 4
AN ORDINANCE AME�DING CHAPTER 25 OF THE
COD� OF THE CI TY OF MIAMI BE,ACH, FLORI I}A.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That Chapter 25 of the Code of the City of Miami
Beach: Florida be and the same is hereby amended
by adding a new section theretot to be numbered and to read
as follows :
"Section 25.59.1. The use of surfboards in the
ocean is prohibiteds provided
howeverj that such use shall be permitted southerly
of the line beginning at the southeast corner of
the present ocean front property of the Miami Beach
Kennel Club and extended in a generally northeasterly
direction to a point in the ocean marked by a buoy
as the same shall be located and maintained from �
day to day under the direction and authority of the
Beach Patrol Captain� but only at such times as shall
be found by said Beach Patrol Captain f or by a Beach
Patrolman acting at the direction and authority of
said Captain to present no undue danger of injury
to bathers; and further provided that the use of =:._
surfboards shall also°be permitted in such other
areas as may be designated b�r the City Manager from
time to time as presenting no undue danger of injury
to bathers."

SECTION 2: Al1 ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
, are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately �pon
its passage and posting as required by law.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of December� 1964.
