AN 4RDINANCE ANIENI�IN(� CHAPTER �2 OF TH� CODE
+QF THE CITY OF MIAMI HEACH, FLOR�DA.
BE �T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLQRIDA ;
SECTION 1: That Cha,pt�r �2 of the Cade of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida be and the $ame is hereby amended by
adding a new section thereto, to be numbered and to read as
follows:
"Section �2.11.1 No permit shall be issued,
and it shall be unlawful for
any motor vehicle to be operated as a taxi�ab
if it be more than five (5} years old or has a
mileage in excess of 250,OOQ. The a�e or year
of manufacture of such motor vehicle shall be
determined by the manufacturer's serial number.
Provided, however, that the age restrict�.on
imposed hereby shall not be applicable if such
motor vehicle be in sound mechanieal condition,
with body and interior in good condition and is
so ce rtified, in writing, by the Chief of
Police or his duly authorized representa�ive.
Such Gertificate shall be valid for��a p�riod of
one (1) year from date of issuance.
SECTIaN 2: All ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby �epealed.
