AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789 BEING
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA� ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL CLASSIFICA-
TIONS OF POSITIONS IN TI�E CLASSIFIED SERVICE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND
PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR, PURSUANT TO
THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That that portion of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 789
reading as f ollows:
"SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby autho-
rized to approve payments of
Clothing Allowance for Detectives, and for
other officers of the uniformed force who are
regularly detailed to perform their duties in
plain clothes, and who are specifically rec-
ommended for such allowance by the Police
Chief. Such Clothing Allowance shall not
exceed Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) per month."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby autho-

ommended for such allowance by the Police
Chief. Such Clothing Allowance shall not
exceed Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per month."
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: �his Ordinance shall become effective as of October l,
1965.
