ORDINANCE NO. 1588
AN ORDINANCE .AMENDING SECTION 20.17 OF CHAPTER
20 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION l. That that portion of Section 20.17 of Chapter 20
of The Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
reading as follows:
" (48) Caterers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 25 . 30 "
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
�� �48) Caterers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 25.30
(a) Caterers operating mobile unit designed and
intended solely for the purpose of vending from such
mobile unit sandwiches, pastries, candy, beveragest
soft drinks and like items, to workmen on construction
sites, each mobile unit . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100.00
Provided, hpwever, that no such mobile unit shall be
operated�an any construction site unless a permit therefor
is secured from the City Manager, application there�or
having been made at least 15 days prior to the granting
o� such permit. It is hereby made the duty of the City
Manager to investigate all applications therefor, and
the City Manager shall issue such permit only after
finding that the public convenience and necessity
requires the issuance of such permit, and that the
operation of such mobile unit shall not obstruct the
public way or create any hazardous condition thereon.
Provided, further, that only one such permit shall be
issued for each construction site."
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by
law.
