Ordinance 220ORDINANCE NO. 220 AN ORDINANCE OP THE CITY COUNCIL' 0.? THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH PRE- SCRIBING MAXIMUM LOADS TO BE AL- LOWED ON TRUCKS USING STREETS IN THE OLT/. OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that Ordinance No. 181, Sections 3, 4 and 5 be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows: Ae.4 r Section 3. It shall be unlawful to drive, propel or operate, or to cause to be driven, pro- pelled or operated, over any street or high- way of this City, -except as otherwise pro- vided herein,- any vehicle or contrivance whose gross load on any one wheel shall ex- ceed six hundred (600) pounds for each inch of width of tire on same; provided, fur-Gher, that the width of solid tires shall be con- sidered as that portion coming in contact with an unyielding surface, and the width of pneudiatic tires shall be considered as the total thickness measured from outside to outside of casing at the widest point between tread and rim, when fully inflated with air; provided further that no solid tire shall be continued in use which has worn down to less than two- thirds of its original thickness, or Which is so worn, or otherwise damaged, as to be consider- ed injurious to any pavement; and provided, fur- ther, that no vehicle or contrivance whose gross load shall exceed sixteen thousand (16,000) pounds shall be moved or operated over any Street or highway of this City. Section 4. It shall be unlawful to drive, propel or operate, or to cause to be driven,propelled or operated, over any Street or highway of this City,- except as otherwise provided herein,- any vehicle or contrivance whose total width exceeds eight feet. It shall be unlawful to drive, propel or operate, or to cause to be driven,propelled or operated, over any Street or highway of this City, any ve- hicle or contrivance which is in any way injurious to the pavements thereof. TOMLINSON, City Clerk in and for the City of Miami Beach, Florida, do hereby certify that Ordinance No. 220 entitled "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach prescribing Maximum Loads to be allowed on Trucks using Streets in the City of Miami Beach, Florida," having been duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on the 15th day of June, 1925, and that said Ordinance remained. posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
