ORDINANCE NO. 1594
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHA,PTER 2 OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDA,INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida be and the same is hereby amended by
adding immediately after Section 2.1, a new Section to be
numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 2.1.1 That where emergency, or public
necessity or convenience so re-
quires, the City Council may meet or conduct
hearings at a public place other than the City
Hall, provided, however, that such other public
place be designated by resolution duly adopted."
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The health and welfare of the City being in peril, '
the three readings of this ordinance shall be had
in one session and the City Council finding that this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens, it
shall therefore go into effect immediately upon its passage.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 24th day of August, 1966.
