AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHA.PTER 15 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEA,CH, FLORIDA,
1964".
BE IT ORDA,INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:

1�64", be and it is hereby amended by adding two new
sections thereto immediately after Section 15-5, designated
Sections 15-5.1 and 15-5.2 respectively, and reading as follows:
"15-5.1. A bulkhead line is hereby established on
the east shore of Biscayne Bay west of
Lots 1 through 9 of Block 15 of Island View Subdi-
vision, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in
Plat Book 6, Page 115 of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida, such line being located and
described as follows:
Begin at the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 15
of Island View Subdivision, Plat Book 6 at Page
115 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida;
Thence South 36 degrees 37 minutes 16 seconds West
for a distance of 16.07 feet; 'Irh.ence South 73 de-
grees 1� minutes 29 seconds West for a distance of
190.25 feet to the beginning of a tangential cir-
cular curve; Thenct� Southwesterly along said cir-
cular curve to the left having �. radius of 150
feet through a central angle of 73 degrees 06 min-
utes 15 seconds for an arc distance of 191.39 feet
to the end of said curve and a point which is
located 298 feet West of, as measured at right
angles to the West line of the said Block 15;
Thence South 00 degrees 04 minutes 14 seconds West,
tangent to the last described �urve and parallel
to the West line of the said Block 15 for a dis-
tance of 218.80 feet to the beginning of a tangen-
tial circular curve; Thence Southeasterly along
said circular curve to the left having a radius of
300 feet through a central angle of 36 degrees 55
minutes 20 seconds for an arc distance of ���-,�3
feet to a point of reverse curve; Thence South-
easterly along a circular curve to the right having
a radius of 2,739.05 feet through a central angle
of 6 degrees 19 minutes 20 seconds for an arc dis-
tance of 302.24 feet to the end of said curve;
Thence North 89 degrees 58 minutes 15 seconds East
for a distance of 70 feet to the intersection of
the West and South boundary of Dade Boulevard as

"15-5.2. No bulkhead or other structure shall be
constructed or erected which shall be
westerly of the line described and set forth in
the preceding section."
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

FOR AMENDMENT TO ESTABLISHED BULKHEAD LINE
NO. 13 (3-21-67 )
WHEREAS, Chapter 57-362, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957,
Florida Statutes 253.122, authorizes local authorities to locate
and fix bulkhead lines in the tidal waters within their jurisdic-
tional limits for the purpose of controlling dredging and filling
of submerged sovereign lands in the interest of the public; and
WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund
of the State of Florida, in whose custody the sovereign lands and
waters are vested for the protection of the public interest, are
responsible for reviewing and approving bulkhead lines established
locally; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Dade County, Florida, by Ordinance No. 1597 adopted September 21,
1966, did amend and submit to the Trustees of the Internal Improve-
ment Fund for formal approval a bulkhead line on the east shore of
Biscayne Bay west of Lots 1 through 9 of Block 15 of Island View
Subdivision, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book
6, Page 115 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, said
bulkhead line being more par�icularly described as follows:
Begin at the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 15
of Island View Subdivision, Plat Book 6 at Page
115 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida;
Thence South 36 degrees 37 minutes 16 seconds West

Boulevard/Venetian Way;

� AND, WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement
�Fund have examined the bulkhead line as submitted and find it to
�be located and properly established according to the provisions
�of Section 253.122, Florida Statutes;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TRUSTEES OF THE
;INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT FUND OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA that the bulk-

�head line as adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami
�Beach, Dade County, Florida, by Ordinance No. 1597 adopted

�September 21, 1966, located on the east shore of Biscayne Bay, be
formally approved and adopted for the purposes prescribed by
Section 253.122, Florida Statutes, to remain effective unti
;altered or invalidated in accordance with the Law.
