ORDINANCE NO. 1629
AN 4RDINANCE AMENDIP�G CHAPTER 47 OF"THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF 1�IIAMI BEACI3, FLORIDA"
BE IT �RDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL QF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FL4RIDA;
SECTION 1. That Section 47-6 af "The Code of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida" be and the sarne is hereby
amendec� by deletinq therefrom the following sentence:

"The City of Miami Beach hereby reserves the
right to reject any such application witho�t
the necessity for showing cause for suc� action,
providecl such contractor undertakes to perform
work not in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach."
SECTI4N 2. That that portion of Section 47-10 of"The Code
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida" reading
as follows:
"Fees for collections in excess of the maximum
allowable for the annual fee and at the rat�s
prescribed herein are payable monthly and due
when billed. "
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follaws:

when billed,"
SECTI�N 3. That that portion of Section 47-11 of "The
Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida"
reading as follows:
"All delinquent service charges shall bear a
penalty of four (4%) per cent and if not fully
paid, with all accrued penalty assessments, by
the due date of the next succeeding service
charge payment, an additional four t4%) per cent
penalty shall be added successivel� for each
periad until fully paid."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"All delinquent service charges shall bear a
penalty of one (1%) per cent per month fram
due date."
SECTION 4. That ali ordinances or parts of ardinances
in conf lict herewith be and the sarne are hereby
repealed.

� SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall go into effect
