AN pRDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA"

SE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL O�' THE CITY OF MIAMI SF�ACH•
FLORIDA:
SECTI4N 1: That Section 25-16 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida" be and the same is hereby amended to
read as f o l l�aws :
"Sec. 25-16. Businesses--Conducting on streets, parks
or other public property.
It shall be unlawful for any person, while in or
on any public street, avenue or alley, or any park.
beach, structure, building or other property or place
owned, n�aintained or operated by the city for public
use, to sell, rent or affer for sale or rent to the
public any article, commodity or service of any nature
whatsoever, other than newspapers of qeneral circula-
tion duly entered in the gost office departm�ent of the
United States; provided, that this section shall not
apply to employees of the city acting for and on behalf
of the city, or to persons specifically authoriz�d to
render service to the public in any place above described,
by the city council. Provided, further, that this sec-
tion shall not apply to persons participating in any
art shcaw or exhibit held on all city progerties under
the specific authorization of the city coun�il and who
are exhibiting paintings or objects ot art produced or
created by such per�ons."

SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTIC�i 3: T'hat this ordinance shall go into effect im�nediately
upon its passage and posting as requir+�d by law.

places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door

and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
