ORDINANCE NO. 1637
AN ORIIfNANCE AMENDING ORDINANeE NO. 345 OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA BEING "AN
URDINANCE PR4VID�NG FOR THE CREATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF A PENSION AND RETIREMENT
SYSTEM FOR CERTAIN EMPLOXEES 4F THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FL4RIDA"
HE IT ORDAINED 8X THE CITY COUNCIL 4F THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION le That Subsection 6.03.�3 of �rdinance No. 845 be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"§6.03. G� All payments from t'he combined funds of
this System and the Systems created under
Ordinances No. 734 and 498, shall be made lay the City
Clerk and Finance Dire+�tor, only upon vouchers s3.qned
by him. A duly attested copy of a resolution of the
Board bearing on its face the specimen signature of
the City Clerk and Finance Director shall be filed as
authority for making payments upon such vouchers. No
voucher shall be drawn unless it shall have been pre--
viously authorized by resolution of the Board, ex�ept
that the Board may, by resolution, authorize the
Chief Finance Officer to issue vouchers for Separa-
tion Refunds not exceeding Two Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($2.500.�0� and for minor adjustments of
Employee contribut�ons."
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewi�h be and the same are hereb� repealed.
SEeTI0A1 3: The health and welfare of the City being in peril,
the three readings of this ordinance shall be had
in one session and the City Council findinq that this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens, it
sha3.l therefore go into effect immediately upon its passage.

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 22nd day of March, 1967
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
