ORDINANCE NO. 1638
AN ORDIL�TANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF "THE
CODE C�F THE CITY 4F MIAMT BEACH, FLORIDA" .
SECTION ls That Chapter 2 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida" be and the same is hereby amended
by adding a new section thereto, immediately following Section
2.73, to be numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 2-74 REFUSAL TO TESTIFY
If any person in the Unclassified Service of the
City, or any appointive officer or members of any
Board of the City, shall willfully refuse or fail to
appear before the State Attorney, any Court or Judge,
an�x Legislative Committee or any officer, board or
bod� authorized by law to conduct any hearing or in-
quiry, or having appeared, shall illegaliy refuse to
tes�ify or answer any questi.on relating to the con-
duct of his office or the pextormance of his official
duties or employment, shall forfeit his office or
positian."
SECTION 2:
SECTION 3:
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the lOth day of April, 1967
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
