AN ORDINANCE ��MENDING ORDINANCE NO. 845 4F
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDSNG F`OR '�HE CREATItJN
AND MAINTENANCE OF A PENSIQN AND RETIREMENT
SYSTEM FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 4F THE CITY OF MIAI�II BEACH,
FLORIDAr
SECTION l: That Ordinance No. 845 be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new subsection, immedi-
ately fo�.lowing Section 5D, to be numbered and to read as
follows:
"5D.01 Notwithstanding any provision of tha.s ordi-
`�. nance the following cost of living adjustment
increases shall be added to all Retirement Allowances
and Pensions paid beginning on July 1, 1967 and

Provided however, that where any retirement al.lowance
or pension presently being paid under this ordinance
has heretofore been increased to the maximum amount
und�r the provisions of Section 5.14, shall be adjusted
as if the year of retirement occurred during the year
the maximum cost of living adjustment was first paid.
Further provided that any adjustment under this sub-
section shall be applied only to that portion of the
retirement allowance or pension which does not exceed
$4,Q00.00 per year."

SECTION 2; That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The provisioris of this ordinance shall become
effective on the 7th day of June, 1967, provided it
shall be approved by a majority of the qualified voters of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, voting on the same at an election
called fox� that purpose,

places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 19th day of April, 1967,
