.AN ORD I NANCE AMEND I ATG CHAPTER 7 OF "THE
C4DE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY �F MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDAa
$ECTION 1: That Chapter 7 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida" is hereby amended so as to delete
therefrom reference to a"Board of marine inspection" �nd that
said board shall hereafter be known as the "N�arine Advisnry and
Inspection Board".
SECTION 2: That that portion of Section 7.1 reading as follows:
"which boa.rd shall consist of �hree members"

"which �oard shall corasist of five members wr�o shall
be appointed by the City i�anager with consen�t anc7
approval of the City Council for a two-year term.'�
SECTI4i� 3: 7.'hat Section 7.1 �e and the same is hereby amended
by adcling the following at the conclusion thereof :
"T'he Chairman of said Board shall k�e designated �y
the Board. "
S'�CTION 4:
SECTION 5;
That Section 7.2 is hereby amended by adding at the
conclusion thereof the following:
"Ta recommend to the City Manager and
Council and other boards; suggestions,
rulings, impxavements, operations and
methods through which marine activities
might better serve the economy and
attractiveness of the City; and to con-
sult with council and City Manager re-
qarding decisions and legislation that
cc�ulc� affect the above as well as the
property and marine safety of the city."
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6: That this ordinance shall go into effect imm+ediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.
