BE IT ORDI�INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SFCTION 1_e There is hereby transferred from the direction and
control of the City Manager ta the direction an�
control of the Tourist Development F.uthority all the personnel,
facilities, powers, duties and functions of the Convention
P.u�eau, it being the intent of this ordinance to continue in
full force and effect, to be administered under the supervision
of the Tourist Development Authority, the same services and
activities of the Convention �ureau as were formerly admin�s-
tered under tr�e supervision of the City Manager o Such �transfer
shall be without impairment or diminution of any and all existing
civil service and pension rights or privileges of the personnel
hereby transferre�.
SECT�O�T 2, The compensation of all personnel in the Convention
Bureau hereby transferrecl shall be as fixed by th�
ordinances of the City or resolutions of the Tourist Development
Authority, and the �ayment of such compensation and of any and
all sums required for pension, hospitalization and accumulated
leave benefits shall be the obligation of the Touxist Develop-
ment Authority,
SECTI�N 3. The Tourist Development Authority shall be the
Appointing Authori�ty for the Convention Bureau
Director and for all Unclassified officers and employees in
the Convention Bureau, and the Convention Bureau Director
shall be the Appointing Authority for all personnel in the
Convention Bureau in the Classified Service of the Citye
SECTION 4. That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances,
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealeda
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall go into effect on the
22nd day of February, 1968.

Ordinance No. 1687 entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE PERSONNEL AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CONVENTION BUREAU
FROM THE DIRECTION AND CONTROL OF THE CITY MANAGER TO THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY, AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY FOR PERSONNEL IN THE
UNCLASSIFIED AND C LASSIFIED SERVICE OF THE CONVENTION BUREAU"
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Seach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 8th day of March, 1968,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
