ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE

OF THE CITY OE t�IIAMI BFACH, FL4RIDA :
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 4F T�IE CITY (7F MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTI4N l: That Section 5.03.02 of Ordinance No. 845 be
amended to read as follaws:
"5.03.02 Any Employee Member wh� rea�hes the age of
s ixty--f ive ( 65 ) sha 11 be mandatori ly re-
tired no later than the f irst day of the month
imm�:diate ly f o 1 lowirig the attainment of such age ; �
provided, however, that upon �.he recommendation of
the department head and approval of the City Manager�
in exceptional cases and for substantial reasons,
such retirement may by deferred by the Board for
periods not to exceed one (1) year at any one titne,
up to a maximum of seventy-five (75) years of age;
provided that such Employee Member shall subniit ta
and satisfactorily pass a physical examination by
the City Physician annually; any Employee �.ernber
who is employed subsequent to reaching his sixty-
f ifth (65th) birthday and who shall be mandatorily
retired shall have no right of appeal from the
d,ecision of the Board. "
SECTI4N 2: That Se�tion 5A.03.�2 af Ordinance No. 845 be
amended to read as follows:
"5A.03.02 An� Employee Member who reaches the age
