COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "20NING �RDINANCE
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA"
BE IT ORD�AINED BY TI�E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MrAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA :
SE�TION l: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 289, eommonly known as
"T'he Zoning nrdinance of Mi.ami Be�.ch, Florida" , and
�he maps attached thereto and made a part thereaf, �e and the same
is hereby aYnended by adding thereto, inn.mediately aft�r the definition
of "Height", the following paragraph:
"HOSPiTAL : a building or group of buildings ,
having room facilities for patients, used for
providing sexvices for the in-patient and
out-patient diagnostic, medical or surc�ical
eare of sick or injured humans."
SECTION 2 o That that portion of Section 2 ot Ordinance No. 289 �
entitled "Use Distriets" be amended to read as follows:
"RAA, RA, RS, and RC Estate Districts.
RD S ingle-Family D istrict.
Rt3D i�iodified Single-Family District.
RDE Restricted Mt�ltiple-Family District.
RH Hospital Districte
H-1 �4ultiple �amily Distxict.

be numbered and to reacl as follows:

' RH' Hospital District
"In the 'RH' Hospital District, no land,
water, or building, hereafter erected,
constructed, reconstructed or structurally
altered shall be used, in whole or in part,
except for one or more of the following uses:
1. Hospital.
2e Accessor_y Hospital Facilities, consisting
of laundry, central services, educational
and research f�cilities, recreation
facilities, parking structures and lots,
staff offices. All structures and
parking facilities �nust be subordinate
to the Yna in use and �nus t be an integra 1
part of hospital operations."

SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA"
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of �
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 8th day of Jul y, 1 g68,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
