BEACH, FL4RIDA"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT`Y OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA;
SECTION l= That Cha,�ter 2 of "The �:od� �f th� City of
Miami Beach, �'lori.da" be and the sam� is
hereby amended to add a nFw sFction thereto, to bE
t�u�:�::�ed anc3 to reac� as follows:
"Sec. 2-75. Any person in the Unclassified
Service of the ��a.ty, �r any appointive officer,
vr any member of any �oard of the �i�ty, who shall
have been indicted, or informed against for crime,
in any court .in this State, or in any cour� of
record in any State of the United States,
�r in any Fec��ra 1 c�urt, sha 11 bE d�emed
suspEnded f�rth*aith and shall ce:ase and desist
f rom per�orming or atternpting to ,p�rform any
of the duties pertaining t� his E:mplo�rment or
�ffiee, and his �osition or office or board
membership shall be d�emed vacant and such
vacancy sha11 bE� filled by the appointing auth-
�rity for the durati�n of �uch susp�nsion.
Such suspension shall continue until the
acquittal or conviction of such employee,
of f icer or boart� membEr o In the evEnt �f
acquittal, such employee, officer or boax�d
member shall be reinstated, but conviction
of such employee, officer or board mEmb�r
shall be deemed a removal from �ai� �mployment,
office or meml�ership, and the vacancy thereby
created shall bE filled by the appointing
authority in the same n�anner as such app4int--
ment shall have been made during thE susp�nsion
�f such employee, officEr or board member."

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER TWO OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA"
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the Sth day of September, 1968
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
