HE IT O�':?AINE� BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF T�iIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA :
SECTION 1 That Chapter 36 of "The Code of the City of Mia�ni Beach,
Florida" be and the same is hereby a�nended by adding a
new section thereto, to follow i�n.mediately a�ter Section 36v13, to
be numbered and to read a.s follo�as a

for new roof signs a€ter
the e f fect ive date of th is ord inance . S igns
in existence at the time of the passage vf
this ordinance or an amendment thereto, �.ahich
�re not in confor:nity herewith, may be
per�nitted to continue in existence for a
period of twelve (12) years fro,n the effective
dat+e of this ordinance, at �ahich time such
signs, and their supporting or structural
members shall be removed. Such non-conforming
s igns �nay be re s tored or repa ired if the s ame
are destroyed to the extent of not :more th�n
fifty percent (5�/) of their reasonable value,
by fire, storm or other casualty. S ueh non-
conforming signs may �lso, during said period,
be altered in lettering or cont�nt to show
change of use or ownership of the premises or
business advertised by such sign."
SECTION 2 That all orda�nances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
S ECTION 3 This ordina.nce shall go into effect immediately upon its
passage and posting a.s required by law.

and that said Ordinance remained posted fo� a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
