ORDINANCE NO. 1758
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 1335
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ANNUAL LEAVE
ORDINANCE FOR CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEESo
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That.Section 1.5(a) of Ordinance 1335,
which reads as follows :
"5. Accumulation of Annual Leave:
(a) Annual leave may be accumulated to a
total of 360 hours at the end of each
calendar year. Annual leave in excess
of 360 hours on December 31 of any year
shall not be accumul.ated.
be amended to read:
SECTION 2:
"5. Accumulation of Annual Leave and Sick Leave:
(a) An employee may accumulate annual leave
and sick leave up to a total combined
maximum of 360 hours plus 64 hours for
each year of service with the City. "
That Section 1.6(a) of Ordinance 1335,
which reads as follows:
"6. Accuir�u�at�on c� Sick Leave :
(a) Sick leave may be accumulated without limit
as to number of hours. Sick leave accrued
in excess of 360 hours may be used as
vacation time within the lixnits of this
ordinance."
be amended to read:
"6. Transfer of Sick Leave to Annual Leave:
(a) Sick leave accrued in excess of 360 hours
may be used for vacation time within the
limits of this ordinance."
� SECTION 3: Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in;
conflict herewith be and the same are
�hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this ordiriance shall go into effect
immediately upon its passage and posting
as required by law. �
