AN ORDINANCE �MENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1613
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ANNUAL LEAVE
ORDINANCE FOR UNCLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES.
BE IT 02DAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
. BEACH, FLORIDA :
SECTION 1: That Section 2.3 of Ordinance 1613, which
reads as follows: � .
"3. Accumulation of Annual Leave:
Annual leave may be accumulated to a
total of 360 hours at the end of each
. calendar year. Ar�nual leave in excess
of 36J� hours on December 31 of any
year shall not be accumulated.�
be amended to read:
"3. Accumulation of Annual Leave and Sick Leave:
•SECTION 2:
An employee may accumulate annual leave and
sick leave up to a total combined maximum
of 360 hours plus 64 hours for each year
� of service with the city."
That Section 2.4 of Ordinance 1613, which
reads as follows: �
"4. Accumulation of Sick Leave:
Sick leave may be accumulated without limit
as to number of hours. Sick leave accrued
in excess of 360 hours may be used as
vacation time within the limits of this
ordinance."
be amended to read:
"4. Transfer of Sick Leave to Annual Leave:
Sick leave accrued in excess of 360 hours
may be used for vacation time within the .
limits of this ordinance." �
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in :
conf lict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed. , -
SECTION 4: That this ordiriance shall go into effect
immediately upon its passage and posting
as required by law.
