Ordinance 1814ORDINANCE NO. 1814 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V, SECTION 2-62 a. (2) OF "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA," REMOVING THE UPPER LIMIT ON EMPLOYEE'S GROUP LIFE INSURANCE BENEFITS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Section 2-62 a.(2) of "The Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida," reading as follows: "(2) Regardless of the annual salary of any eligible employee participating in the plan, minimum life insurance benefits shall be $5,000.00 and maximum life insurance benefits shall be $15,000.00;" be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "(2) Regardless of the annual salary of any eligible employee participating in the plan, minimum life insurance benefits shall be $6,000.00." SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. The health and welfare of the City being in peril, the three readings of this ordinance shall be had in one session and the City Council finding that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens, it shall therefore go into effect immediately upon its passage.
