AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1613,
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE GRANTING
AND THE COMPUTATION OF ANNUAL LEAVE FOR
UNCLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that portion of Section 2.13 of Ordinance
No. 1613, being an Ordinance providing for the
granting and the computation of annual leave for unclassified
employees, reading as follows:
"Use of Annual Leave for Purchase of Pension Time:
Any annual leave and sick leave in excess of the
total combined maximum of 360 hours may at the
request of an employee, be used for the buying back
of pension time creditable service which the employee
is entitled to buy. Computation of the number of
hours needed to purchase back pension time will be
made on the basis of the employee's rate of pay as
of the date he elects to make such transfer. In such
cases the Personnel Department will reduce the employee's
balance of earned annual leave and sick leave by the
number of hours required to equal the pension system
contribution and will cause the amount of money to be
transferred from the reserve for annual leave settlements
to the pension system employee contributions fund."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 26th day of
June, 1970,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
