AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 36 OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 36 of the Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended
by adding a new section thereto, to be numbered, and to read
as follows:
"SECTION 36-7.1: No permits shall be issued
for signs and photographs,
which, in the judgment of the City Council,
exceed or transgress the permissible limits
or standards promulgated by the Statutes of
the State of Florida, relating to the
exposure of minors to obscene or pornographic
material, particularly Chapter 69-10 relating
to the admission of minors to motion pictures,
exhibitions, and other shows coming within the
prohibition thereof.
"It shall be the duty of the Chief Building
Inspector, prior to issuing any permit therefor,
to certify to the City Council any application
for a permit which, in his judgment, may be
violative of the standard herein provided and
set forth."
SECTION 2: That all ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That the health and welfare of the City being in
peril, this ordinance shall be passed and adopted
as an emergency ordinance, and all three readings provided by
the Charter of the City of Miami Beach shall be had in one
session.

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 24th day of
June, 1970,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
