AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16 OF
"THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That "The Code of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida," be and the same is hereby amended
by adding new sections thereto immediately following Section
16-52, to be numbered, and to read as follows:
"Section 16-52.1
The Kosher Food Inspector of the City of Miami
Beach, or any duly authorized deputy, may arrest
without a warrant, any person violating any of
the Kosher Food Ordinances of the City committed
in the presence of such inspector or his duly
authorized deputy, and when any knowledge of the
violation of any of the Kosher Food Ordinances
of said City come to said Kosher Food Inspector
or his duly authorized deputy, not committed in
his presence, he shall make affidavit before
the Judge or Clerk of the Municipal Court
against the person charged with such violations
whereupon said Judge or Clerk shall issue a
warrant for the arrest of such person. The power
herein granted shall be supplemental and cumulative,
and shall not abridge in any way any power
heretofore existing."
"Section 16-52.2
The Kosher Food Inspector or any duly authorized
deputy, shall have the power to seize, condemn
or destroy any food, food products, beverages
and merchandise or other commodity offered for
sale to the public in enforcing Sections 16-49
through 16-51 hereof."
SECTION 2.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 1st day of
July, 1970,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
