AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 20.3 of the Code of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, reading as follows:
"No license shall be issued for more than one year. All
licenses, and any bond required as a condition precedent
to the issuance thereof, shall expire on the last day
of October of each year, unless otherwise provided in
this Article or Code. All business licenses may be trans-
ferred with the approval of the City Clerk, with the busi-
ness for which they are taken out, when there is a bona
fide sale and transfer of the property used and embraced
in the business so sold or transferred, but such transfer
of license shall not be held good for any longer than or
at any other place than that for which it was originally
issued; provided that the original license shall be sub-
mitted to the City Clerk, who shall make note thereon of
the transfer."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

which they are taken out when there is a bona fide sale
and transfer of the property used and embraced in the
business sold or transferred, but such transfer of license
shall not be held good for any period longer than that for
which it was originally issued; provided, however, that
such license may be transferred to another location, without
charge, and provided, further, that the original license
shall be submitted to the City Clerk, who shall make note
thereon of the transfer, and the new location, if any, of
the business so licensed."
SECTION 2: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall go into effect November 1, 1970.

CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA."
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 4th day of December, 1970,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
