AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,"
BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO FIXING A
BULKHEAD LINE FOR THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF
LAND SITUATE IN BISCAYNE BAY AND COMMONLY
KNOWN AS "FLAGLER MEMORIAL ISLAND."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 15 of "The Code of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida," be and the same is
hereby amended by adding a new section thereto to follow
Section 15.5.2, and to be numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 15.5.3
A bulkhead line is hereby established for
that certain parcel of land lying, being
and situate in Biscayne Bay and commonly
known as 'Flagler Memorial Island' as
follows:
On the circumference of a circle in Biscayne
Bay in southwest quarter of Section Thirty-
three (SW 1/4 of 33) in Township Fifty-three
(53) South of Range Forty-two (42) East,
having a diameter of four hundred and thirty
(430) feet, the center of the tract being
twenty-seven hundred and twenty-five (2725)
feet westerly of 14th Street, Miami Beach;
twenty hundred and ten (2010) feet south-
westerly of Harbor Lane, Belle Isle; and
sixteen hundred and twenty (1620) feet
northerly of Star Island, said circle being
the same tract of land as described in warranty
deed recorded in deed book 1945 at page 181
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida."
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
The health and welfare of the City being in peril,
the three readings of this ordinance shall be had
in one session and the City Council finding that this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens, it
shall therefore go into effect immediately upon its passage.

Ordinance No. 1869 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15 OF "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA", BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO FIXING A BULKHEAD LINE FOR
THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND SITUATE IN BISCAYNE BAY AND COMMONLY KNOWN
AS "FLAGLER MEMORIAL ISLAND",
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 16th day of August, 1971,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and

on this the 6th day of October, 1971.
