Ordinance 450ORDINANCE NO. 450 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE SAFE -KEEPING AND SALE OF ARTICLES LOST OR STOLEN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: All articles of personal property that shall SECTION 1: come into the hands of the City of Miami Beach, on account of being lost or stolen, shall be kept in a place for safe -keeping by said City for a period of one year. During such time the Police Department of said City shall make all reasonable effort to locate the owner or owners thereof. Any such article so remaining in the possession SECTION 2: of said City for a period of one year unclaimed by its owner, may be sold at public auction by the City Clerk at the Police Station of said City, by giving five days, notice of such sale by advertising once in a newspaper published in said City. SECTION 3: SECTION 4: Any sums of money derived from the sale of such articles shall be placed in the general fund of said City. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October, A. D., 1936. D., 1936, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
