Ordinance 454OR D I NAN C E NO. 45 AN ORDINANCE A :LENDING ORDINANCE NO. 394, BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIT, T OF EIA.I BEACH, FLORIDA, I:POSING LICENSESAND OTHER TAXES ON PRIVILEGES, OCCUPATIONS AND PROFESSIONS CARRIED ON AND ENGAGED INvT WITHIN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE EXERCISING OF SUCH PRIVILEGES OR CARRYING ON SUCH BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS, OR PROFESSIONS, WITHOUT A LICENSE OR OTHER FAILURE TO CO! PLY WITH THE PROVISIONS THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. That that part of Section Five (5) of said SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 394 of the City of Miami Beech, Florida, to -wit, the word "bakery" following the title "manufacturers" be eliminated, and in its place and stead there be: "BAKERIES--- For the use and purpose of fixing license tax thereon, bakeries are classified, defined and assessed as follows: "BAKERIES, manufacturing bakery products within corp- orate limits ofLiam' Beach, for and selling or delivering in the conduct of the wholesale bakery business, and operating more than five (5) delivery trucks "BAKERIES, manufacturing bakery products within corporate limits of Elam' Beach, for and selling or delivering in the conduct of the wholesale bakery business or the wholesale and retail bakery business, and operating not more than five (5) delivery trucks "BAKERIES, manufacturing within corporate limits of :iami Beach, for and selling at retail only from the premises of manufacture and not operating delivery service --for each retail place of business "BAKERIES, manufacturing within corporate limits of L:iani Beech, for and selling et retail only and operating delivery service in con:-ection therewith - for each retail place of business and in addition thereto, for each delivery truck in excess of two (2) (truck identification tags to be supplied by the City "BAKERY PRODUCTS DISTRIBUTORS ---Distributors selling or distributing bakery products not manufactured within corporate limits of Liami Beach (each distributor) 3165.00 27.50 11.00 165.00" All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con - SECTION 2: filet herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: WHEREAS an emergency exists, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after being read three times at any one regular meeting. A. D. TOMLINSON, City Clerk in and for the City of Miami Teach, Florida, do hereby certify that Ord- inance No. 454 entitled " AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, IMPOSING LICENSES AND OTHER TAXES ON PRIVLEGES, OCCUPATIONS AND PROFESSIONS CARRIED ON AND ENGAGED IN WITHIN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE EXERCISING OF SUCH PRIVLEGES OR CARRYING ON SUCH BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS, OR PROFESSIONS, WITHOUT A LICENSE OR OTHER FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS THEREOF", having been duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach oneof which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on the 22nd day of October, A. D., 1936, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami. Beach.
