A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON THE SALE
OF $12, 000, 000 EXCISE TAX BONDS, SERIES
1969, BY THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL FOR THE RECEPTION AND
CONSIDERATION OF SUCH BIDS .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has heretofore, on the 25th day of February,
1969, adopted Resolution No. 12650 authorizing the issuance
of $12, 000, 000 Excise Tax Bonds, Series 1969, dated April
1, 1969; and
WHEREAS, said bonds and the proceedings incident
to the issuance thereof, have been validated and confirmed
by an order and judgment of the Circuit Court of the Eleventh
Judicial Circuit of Florida in and for Dade County, which
order and judgment was thereafter affirmed by the Florida
Supreme Court;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that sealed
bids will be received by the said City Council until 11
o' clock A.M. on the 13th day of May, 1970, for the purchase
and sale of said bonds, and that due notice of such reception
of bids shall be published in an appropriate financial
publication by the City Clerk and Finance Director not less
than ten days prior to the date of the reception of said
bids, saving and reserving unto the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, the right to reject any and all bids
and to waive any irregularity in the form of any bid.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 1970.
